I recommend never loading a transformer to more than 80% of its advertised capacity. While I only have this transformer loaded with 40 watts, it has performed perfectly for the past 7 months. Simple and economical landscape lighting power.
Not what I hope for. Now I've got it on a light sensor switch and have to hear the motor running the timer. Within a month the timer wouldn't turn on the light. Seems the plastic wheel is just not substantial enough to handle a number of cycles.
I realize it runs 24/7, but I have other things that run 24/7 also and they don't die in 3 or 4 years. This is the 4th power pack I've had to order. Hope Intermatic gets this and works on improving their already good product. It is not overloaded, but indeed under the rated capacity. It seems that the timer quits working or it gets a short inside after a 3 or 4 year period. The product is excellent, but work needs to be done on making them last longer.
Product was as expected.easy to hook up and works like the others I have.had to replace one that I had in use for 7 years.run my outside landscape lights with several of these.
First one i received was DEFECTIVE, Amazon sent me a NEW one FAST and without problems, thanks
